Heather Moore - Lino Print Artist

I am Heather Moore from The Peacock & The Printmaker and I help stylish powerhouse art lovers to create a haven with nostalgic art so that they can unwind, dream and reminisce.

A bit about me…

I am forever inspired by the coastline and nature around me - we are really lucky to have such amazing beaches in the North East. My surroundings feed my passion for creating colourful limited edition Lino prints with high quality papers and oil based inks.

In recent years, my focus has been on printing layered coastal artworks in gorgeous blues and greens and lustrous gold but I have expanded my horizons to include other landscapes that take me back to special memories. I am a firm believer that colour can enhance your mood so I select colours that will bring joy to your home enabling you to feel at your best so that you can spend quality time with your friends and family.

The uniqueness of my work is that it’s how I see the world. The colours I use aren’t necessarily a direct representation of the look of the coast but of how it makes me feel - positive emotions that I’m passing onto you.

I welcome projects creating bespoke one of a kind pieces for individuals and organisations as working to a brief encourages me to try new approaches and stretch myself and my art practice.

‘We were looking for a piece of art with a nautical theme when we came across Heather’s work.

We were drawn in by her use of bold colours and the unique patterns created by her carving.

Heather is friendly, honest and approachable which all created a great service. Buying from her felt easy and the whole process was transparent.

We’re so happy to have this piece in the hallway - our original ‘Happy Place’ print makes it welcoming.”

“I am always open to buying items that I connect with and I’ve loved Heathers' focus on the seaside, seascapes…

I enjoy the sunset colours in it, and the sense you get of the wave about to crash and the sounds it would make. I like the layers and detail of the waves.

I love its vibrant colour in my office. It’s somewhere I can spend long periods at a time, so to be able to glance/look at it during my time there brings a lot of enjoyment!”
