Launching The Skipping Bridge — A Limited Edition Lino Print Inspired by Childhood Memories

There are some moments in life that stay with us forever.

For me, it was long family walks in the Lake District — the kind that seemed endless to a child, until my parents invented little traditions to keep my brother and me going. Each bridge we came to had to be crossed in a new way: a skip, a hop, a balance along the edge. What could have been “just another walk” became something magical.

Those playful crossings became part of my childhood story — surrounded by babbling brooks, snapping twigs, birdsong, and the occasional squirrel darting across the path. The ripples in the river could have come from a stone, a fish, or a friendly game of poo sticks. They were simple moments, but full of joy, energy, and memory.

Capturing Memories in Ink

My new limited edition lino print, The Skipping Bridge, was born from those memories. I wanted to bottle that sense of adventure, family connection, and nostalgia into colour and texture.

The piece is created with nine layers of oil-based ink, each one hand-pulled on archival paper. That process makes every print unique, with its own subtleties and surface textures — a true reflection of the unpredictable ripples and rhythms of the natural world.

Why Only 8 Prints?

I create small editions so that each artwork remains rare, personal, and highly collectible. The Skipping Bridge is limited to just 8 prints. Each is signed, titled, and numbered by hand. Once the edition is sold out, there will be no reprints — making this a special opportunity for collectors who appreciate craftsmanship and scarcity.
