Journey’s Into Printmaking Printmaking Exhibitions
This exhibition has been organised, curated and installed by a group of Northern Print studio members.
Journey’s Into Printmaking presents the diversity of print processes undertaken at Northern Print by 24 studio artists who are all members of Northern Print. Works include finished pieces, trial prints, proofs and offcuts from prints along with some plates - such as linocuts and etching plates.
The exhibition shows the range of printmaking techniques that artists use in the studio and the addition of the ‘printmaking journeys’ text give an insight into how and why artists use the studio.

20:20 Print Exchange
Northern Print are exhibiting and selling original prints from the 20:20 print exchange, a huge annual print exchange project organised by Hotbed Press in Salford, Manchester. Every year, printmaking studios as well as print departments in universities across the UK and overseas are invited to participate in this ambitious project; each studio has to enter a number of artists who each have to print an edition (or set) of 25 prints all measuring 20 x 20cm.
Every artist receives a selection of randomly selected prints from the project to keep and each studio gets a selection to sell. Prints are just £10 each with all proceeds going to support Northern Print.

Artists, like many independent businesses, have really taken a hit over the last year or so and I wanted to do something to help.
Find Art:NE is the public group where artists and galleries can share their artwork and events. The public can also post looking for: commissions, recommendations or places to visit.
Members of the network include (along with me) @nolaseanstudio @philbentonphotography @stitchininthekitchen @theaviary_art and @north_east_art_collective
It's all happening on Facebook in the Find Art:NE group so make sure you join the group to take part and find yourself some amazing artwork.
